ACCORD Dublin Annual Collection 13th and 14th February 2021
I hope this communication finds you well and safe in these very strange times. We have all struggled in the last 10 months to stay afloat but I am pleased to say that with the support of the public, and the members and clients of ACCORD Dublin, we have been able to continue offering both marriage preparation programmes and counselling for those who are experiencing difficulties in their marriage or relationships all during the pandemic.
ACCORD Dublin is now facing yet another hurdle, one with which you will be very familiar. The Annual Collection for ACCORD Dublin is scheduled for the weekend of the 13th/14th February. It is very difficult to know at this point if churches will be open for the celebration of Mass or if we will still be attending on line. However, whichever turns out to the case, ACCORD Dublin would be very grateful for your support.
This is a difficult time for churches and charitable organisations. The annual collection makes up a sizeable portion of ACCORD Dublin’s income, and a reduction will definitely impact on our ability to deliver our services. With a large increase reported in domestic abuse during the pandemic, we anticipate an increase in demand.
Year on year the Diocese of Dublin have supported the work of ACCORD Dublin, and without this support we would not be able to continue to provide the services that support relationships and sacramental marriage. I thank you for your support again this year.
