ACCORD Dublin is Looking for Candidates to Train as Relationship Counsellors

ACCORD Dublin Catholic Marriage Care Service clg is currently recruiting for its Certificate in Counselling (Marriage & Relationship) Training Course (Level 8 RoI / Level 6 UK).
This is a Unique Opportunity for qualified and experienced counsellors / psychotherapists to train as specialist Couples Counsellors.

Requirements

Minimum Level 7 (RoI) / Level 5 (UK) qualification in Counselling /Psychotherapy
Substantial experience of working in the Person – Centred style
Minimum 100 counselling hours post-graduation
A current supervised caseload

Training
The Certificate in Counselling, (Marriage and Relationship), is an affiliated programme of the Pontifical University, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth. Training will take place in Maynooth, Co Kildare over 8 weekends (Saturday & Sunday) between October 2021 and May 2022.

Fees, Placement, Voluntary Commitment
Successful applicants have their course fee and supervision costs funded by their sponsoring centre/region. Students are required to contract with ACCORD to repay the cost of training by delivering 100 counselling sessions during their training. Placements will be available in ACCORD Centres. Following graduation counsellors are required to provide voluntary sessions annually (currently 60) for a minimum of 3 years.
