A counselling session lasts approximately one hour. The average number of sessions people attend relationship counselling for is between 7 and 12 sessions but ultimately it is for the individual clients to decide whether they want a shorter or longer period of counselling.

Everyone is welcome to attend our counselling service.  Whether you are looking for individual counselling or couple counselling our highly trained, experienced and accredited mental health professionals can support you to overcome a with a wide range of issues that you may be experiencing that are effecting you and your relationships.  To see a video introduction or for more information please click here and here.

ACCORD Dublin is a registered charity which receives financial support from TUSLA, client contributions and public donations across the Archdiocese of Dublin. Sessions are provided to everyone in need according to what people can afford to contribute to the overall cost of providing a counselling session.

Session contributions are 50 euro or above for clients who are in employment. We have concessions of 35 euro per session or above available for people are unemployed, retired or in full time education. We also provide free sessions or can consider other contributions when needed by contacting our admin team on info@accorddublin.ie or clicking the apply for pro bono counselling on our online booking platform wellola.

Thanks to the generous support of Tusla and the Archdiocese of Dublin, Accord Dublin offers both in person and online face to face counselling appointments through our new safe, secure, online booking and client portal wellola.   You can choose to attend an in person or online counselling session – and for times that are difficult to attend an in person session our admin team can provide you with an online session with your counsellor whenever you need it.

Wellola is an Irish leader in the development and provision of health technology.  Their Communicare technology has been developed and tested with health professionals across Ireland and the UK and the organisation provides their software to hospitals, independent practitioners and health and social care charities and non-profits across Ireland and the UK. Wellola’s Communicare system is ISO 27001:13 certified – this is the gold standard EU safety and security certification.  You can find further information and a copy of their cert on this page.

A member of our admin team will be in touch with you to make an appointment for you depending on your availability, whether you prefer an in person counselling session in one of our counselling centres or an online session on our new online counselling and client portal, wellola. Sometimes there may a short waiting list but most clients are seen very quickly within a week or two. The first session will include a Needs Assessment where your counsellor will help you to identify the areas that you feel you might need support with. After that counselling sessions are on a weekly basis.
